Week 12

This is going to be a short one. The main part of my week was watching Avengers Endgame. I have so much I want to say but I won't for two reasons. One of the reasons is that I don't want to spoil it and the other is that it doesn't have anything to do with Kung Fu. I feel like that is going to be a problem this year.

Week 11

This week was a fairly normal week. I have already explained what those are in previous blogs so no sense in repeating myself. The only "odd" things were going out for dinner with my family and Easter. I call these odd because they don't happen that often. Every holiday only happens once a year and most of my family lives in St. Albert. Like I said, they just don't happen that often. This also happens in Kung Fu. We usually stick to something for a while then switch to something else. Then there is the odd times were something gets thrown into the mix. For example, we could be doing forms for a month but in the middle of that month, we do a night of sparring. They're just out of the blue for the people who don't plan the classes.

Week 10

This week was a fairly normal week. I went to school, I went to Kung Fu, I did some yard work, and my Dad injured himself like he always does. It went smooth, like a form should. Then there are those other weeks. The weeks where something unexpected happens. Those times when there is a pipe that burst so you can't go to work/school, or a game you were about to go to gets cancelled due to weather. Those are the choppy weeks, like the form is. The difference is you want a form to be nice and smooth but when you do it, it's as choppy as a bad WiFi signal. That's just the way life is. You never know what you're going to get. Sometimes you get what you want sometimes you don't.

Week 9

This past week has been a pretty normal week , got to school then to Kung Fu for 4 out of 5 week days. Then on Friday do something different after school each week. Then on Saturday is when things stopped being normal. Saturday was the day of my grandfathers celebration of life. Did I cry? Yes. Does it suck that one of my family members has passed? Yes. Is it preventable? No. That's the sucky thing about life. It all comes to an end at some point. Now that the celebration of life is over, it is time to move on. Time to start a "new chapter". Hopefully this chapter doesn't end soon.
