2.14

When I was sanding down the wall of my shed to get repainted, I looked down and saw how dirty my clothes had become. This got me thinking about cleanliness. When we talk about being clean, there's more than one thing we may be talking about. We may be talking about being physically clean, having a clean diet, or having a clean mind. I'm going to start with the least  well-known, a clean mind. Having a clean mind doesn't mean that you don't have anything on your mind, to me it means that everything has a reason for being on your mind. Your mind is like a room, there can be lots of stuff, it just needs to have a reason or be organized to actually be clean. Next "section" of being clean is having a clean diet. Having a clean diet means different things to different people. To some, it could mean becoming a vegan or vegetarian, to others it could be as simple as not eating at a few places. Most people would say that a clean diet is mostly staying away from junk food. But having a clean diet is more than what you eat. It's also what you drink. The best drinks that I can think of to have a healthy diet are water and milk. Tap water is fairly good for, but if want to go the extra step to make sure it's clean, you can use a filter as well. Milk has most of the benefits that water does, and it's high in calcium, which reinforces your bones and teeth. Lastly, there is staying physically clean. This is usually what comes to our mind first when we think of cleanliness. The reason for that is because it is the most noticeable. If you don't stay clean, you start to smell bad and you start feel a little bit different. The easiest way to keep your body clean is to have a shower. It's basically as simple as that. If you stay as clean as you can, in as many ways as you can, you will start to feel better. Right now, that's what most of needs, is to feel better.

Something that we all have to deal with is the unexpected and the unwanted. We all have to deal with this because we cannot control every single part of everyday. We cannot do this due to outside factors, whether that would be someone else doing something, your car not running, or your alarm clock not going off. There are somethings we can't control. All we can do is our best to make things go how we want them to go.There are times that will work, and times that it won't. What we can do is adapt to what happened, and live with it if we can. A great example of this is the pandemic that is happening. This is something that we can do our best to control, but it isn't up to just a few people. It's up to everyone to do their part. The more we do, the sooner everything will be back to the way it's supposed to be. Once this is over, we will be able to have more control over what we do than right now. Right now our options are very limited, and that's the best known way to flatten the curve. After this ends, we will have to be careful for awhile, just to be sure. This whole pandemic has been unexpected by many and unwanted by all.

Distractions are something that everyone has to deal with. For the most part it is very hard to control the distractions that happen around you, but how you deal with them is what matters. If you let everything distract you, you will lose focus quickly and doing things will take more time. Instead, if you do your best to let nothing distract you and just focus on what you're doing, you will get things done much faster but you might miss something important in the background. So it is important to have a balance in what you let go over your head and what you catch onto. Doing this takes some time however, so it is best to start as soon as possible instead of waiting until it might be too late for it to be effective.

With online school now up and running, I have realized how much help the internet can be. If this pandemic had happened 15 years ago, everything would be different. Teachers would have no way to check if students were doing their work, if they even had away to assign the work in the first place. We wouldn't be able to do what we have been doing with the virtual kwoon on zoom and vimeo. Even YouTube had only been around for a few months 15 years ago. The fact that we have come so far in the last 15 years is amazing, but it leaves you to wonder what will happen in the next 15.
